Dave is responsible for overall day to day management of the technical and administrative aspects of the PSC. In that role, he assists the Center Director with setting PSC’s direction, including obtaining funding to support PSC’s activities.
He interfaces with both Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Pittsburgh on administrative matters (e.g. intellectual property, space, human resources). He also interfaces with NSF and other federal and government sponsors on administrative matters such as negotiating and assuring compliance with cooperative agreements, and representing PSC regionally and nationally on relevant issues.
Dave provides input to, and works with, the Center Director on planning, organizing, staffing, directing, coordinating, reporting and budgeting for the center as a whole, and provides leadership, and maintains group morale and sense of mission, for the staff as a whole.
