The names of the modules that use the NVIDIA (formerly called PGI) compilers are changing. They will now use “nvhpc” to indicate the compiler set instead of “pgi”. An example is given below

To useOld module nameNew module name
OpenMPI v. 4.0.5 with NVIDIA compilers version 20.11openmpi/4.0.5-pgi20.11openmpi/4.0.5-nvhpc20.11

Your executables do not have to be recompiled. Going forward, you will just have to load the module using the new naming system.

Modules using the old names will still be available until March 29, 2021, but we urge you to edit your job scripts to use the new names now.
