Mei-Yu Wang is a Senior Machine Learning Research Scientist at the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center, where she develops AI and high-performance computing approaches for scientific discovery. Her current work spans multiple scientific collaborations and research projects, including Bridges-3, where she serves as co-PI for Scientific Applications. She works with researchers across scientific domains to develop and evaluate AI-enabled applications, methods, and workflows.
Mei-Yu earned her Ph.D. in astrophysics from the University of Pittsburgh. Before joining PSC in 2022, she conducted postdoctoral research at Texas A&M University and was a McWilliams Postdoctoral Fellow at Carnegie Mellon University, studying dark matter, cosmology, and the Milky Way.
Research interests: AI for scientific discovery; privacy-preserving machine learning; AI/HPC systems and workflows; AI-ready scientific data and infrastructure.
