Training in HPC & Big Data
We offer a variety of workshops on subjects ranging from code optimization and parallel programming to specific scientific topics. In addition to workshops, we also host symposia on high performance computing topics.
We are pleased to present monthly workshops sponsored by XSEDE on a variety of HPC topics. Each workshop is telecast to several satellite sites. See the page for a particular workshop for a list of the sites that will carry that workshop.

Along with XSEDE, we were pleased to offer the first workshop featuring one of XSEDE's newest HPC resources, Bridges, on March 31, 2016. This workshop introduced participants to the power of Bridges and illustrated how users can take advantage of Bridges' capabilities to meet the challenges of their research.
May 17-18, 2016
This workshop brought together developers and users of advanced cyberinfrastructure relating to data management and analytics. The workshop was designed with these groups in mind: awardees of NSF DIBBs and DataNet projects, leads for acquisitions having data as a major focus, and users with challenging data requirements.
Training for new XSEDE users is offered several times a year, using web-based teleconferencing software. The session offers an introduction to using XSEDE resources and is targeted at users who have just received their first allocation on XSEDE. Check the XSEDE training calendar for upcoming dates.
