Toward Multicore Petascale Applications

Pittsburgh, August 27 - 29, 2007

The Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center (PSC) hosted a workshop on optimizing applications for highly scalable multicore architectures, focusing on the PSC's Cray XT3 (BigBen).

This workshop was aimed at scientists and engineers, including current and prospective users of the PSC Cray XT3 "BigBen" and other leading edge resources in the NSF TeraGrid. The emphasis was on optimizing applications for the multicore architectures that are set to dominate the path towards petascale systems.
