Supercell Thunderstorm Simulations
Ming Xue, Center for Analysis and Prediction of Storms (CAPS), University of Oklahoma
Currently Dr. Xue,CAPS, is running large-scale simulations of violent weather using data generated from the Advanced Regional Prediction System (ARPS) and doppler radar data on the terascale system, Lemieux, at the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center.
