Watching the Brain Function in Real Time

Functional magnetic resonance imaging can show regions of the brain involved in processing visual cues or doing other mental tasks. For the first time, new parallel processing software developed at the PSC can generate a 3D visualization of these images fast enough to move this research technique into the clinic.
