• Use Reno Slow Start & Congestion Avoidance

• Keep Key ideas of Fast Retransmit and Fast Recovery

- Need 3 duplicate ACKs to confirm loss of segment

- Each duplicate ACK represents one segment exiting

the network; estimate congestion state by counting

duplicate ACK’s.
