NSF Cyberinfrastructure Program
Researchers affiliated with an institution within the United States may apply to use the PSC's Cray XT3 (bigben) and the SGi Altix 4700 shared memory system (pople) through the National Science Foundation's Cyberinfrastructure program.

Grant categories
Grants are given in three categories: development grants (DAC) for up to 30,000 SUs annually; medium grants (MRAC) for 30,001 to 500,000 SUs annually; and large grants (LRAC) for more than 500,000 SUs annually.
