NWGAP Examples
NWGAP uses a modified version of the Needleman and Wunsch algorithm. It can be used to produce global alignments between two nucleic acid sequences, or two protein sequences.
Example files include:
- nwgap.job, script file to compare the Hemoglobin alpha chain - human, chimpanzee, and pygmy chimpanzee with South American lungfish.
- hahu.seq, is the Hemoglobin alpha chain - Human, chimpanzee and pygmy chimpanzee sequence in the NBRF-PIR file format, input.
- halua.seq, is the Hemoglobin alpha chain - South American lungfish sequence in the NBRF-PIR file format, input.
- hahu_nwgap_halua_pam250.out, contains the alignment produced by the NWGAP program.
- nwgap.out, standard out and error from the job.
