MEME
The MEME system is a set of tools for discovering patterns in groups of related sequences and for using those patterns to search other sequences for occurrences of the patterns. The MEME system can be used for producing sensitive probes for detecting related sequences, for visualizing the important areas of conservation in a group sequences and as an aid in producing multiple alignments.
The MEME system tools
The MEME system consists of two tools:MEME is copyright 1994, The Regents of the University of California, Author: Timothy L. Bailey.
Installed on the Opteron Cluster.
MEME and MAST users will find it convenient to use the /biomed/lib/examples/.login.fixed login file. It adds to your default path directories where many sequence analysis packages are stored, sets up the environment for EMBOSS, and defines some environment variables for sequence analysis packages.
