EMBOSS
European Molecular Biology Open Software Suite (EMBOSS) is a program suite for nucleic acid and protein sequence analysis. EMBOSS programs manipulate, analyze, and display nucleic acid and protein sequences. EMBOSS complements the more computationally intensive analysis programs available at the PSC. The source code for EMBOSS is availiable, making it easy for researchers to add new sequence analysis algorithms to the software suite.
The EMBOSS suite is similar in functionality to the commercial GCG Wisconsin Software.
Installed on: the Opteron Cluster.
Opteron version
Usage: Create a script containing a line like:
srun -N 1 /home/biomed/emboss/EMBOSS-3.0.0/bin/emboss-program-name
See the opteron cluster document for more information on srun and submitting jobs
