Notes:

This will affect Commodity Internet, Research and Education, and 3ROX
member connectivity to the Westinghouse Energy Center. ETF connectivity
for the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center will NOT be affected.

The fiber that links the Westinghouse Energy Center to 3ROX in Oakland
was damaged during road construction. This maintenance activity will
splice a new section of fiber to replace the damaged one.

The dark fiber provider has already run a new section of fiber and will
be splicing it into the path between those times listed. They will be
doing this one buffer tube at a time. While both windows are listed,
there should only be one outage. The actual duration of the outage is
expected to be 30 to 60 minutes. The actual time during these windows or
which window that they will be working on this particular fiber is NOT
known.

Once the fiber has been spliced and verified as operational, no further
downtime is anticipated.
