Remembering David through photos
David filled his personal web page with his art, intellect and humor.
I met David and the Supercomputing Center gang here at Arizona State University. Since I grew up in Pittsburgh, we hit it off like old “Picksburgh” friends. The workshop at ASU went well and I joined the crew for dinner in Scottsdale. A friendship formed and lucky for me, David’s cousin was living in Phoenix, so when he visited her, we got to spend time with him. We made a trip to Old Tucson Studio’s, Kartchner Caverns and the kids and I even took in some movies with David. The sled riding at Lake Tahoe was a blast. I never saw a grown man wreck in a saucer sled before. David kept his black eye a secret from most. We laughed a lot although I think he was in a lot of pain. David designed our ASU Molecular & Cellular Biology Program T-Shirt. David’s sense of humor was delightful. He found that it could make even the worst situation easier. Hopefully, my son, Michael will get to spend more time with David since they both have beamed themselves up to Heaven. Michael always admired David and looked forward to his Phoenix visits. My heart goes out to Terrie. I hope all the good memories will keep you strong.
Your friend in Phoenix, AZ.
A true friend is someone who reaches for your hand and
touches your heart.
