A true Friend

I met David when we both in junior high school. We endured high school together, as well as several years at the University of Kansas. We even shared an apartment one year, and although it was rough, our friendship survived even that.

Among David’s most admirable qualities was his ability to make and keep friendships. He would always be there with the encouraging word when it was needed, and the advice that was willingly offered. He made friends with nearly everyone he met. David valued people not on the basis of background, but rather seemed to relate to people of many different stripes. It is a testament to this ability to be such a friend that he has friends of such different backgrounds.

I would like to extend by condolences to all of David’s other friends, and especially to Terrie. I know that I will miss David’s too big laugh, his unbridled exuberance, and his unlimited friendship.
