The National MetaCenter for Computational Science and Engineering

The National MetaCenter for Computational Science and Engineering was a cooperative effort between the National Science Foundation funded supercomputing centers to offer diverse high performance and scalable parallel architectures for scientists and researchers to attack Grand Challenge problems.

The MetaCenter dissolved with the end of the NSF supercomputer centers program in 1998.
